The new Pop-Cuts I talked about here have had a technical issue that has delayed production. The stamps are ready to go but the template required to complete the kit has had some minor production issues. We hope to have the templates returned soon, as this is one of the few items we have manufactured somewhere other than Campbellford.
We apologize for any inconvenience but check back here often. I will update the status of these big, bold stamps.

Save the Dates
Check your calendars and try to keep at least one of the dates free from June 3 until June 6. Trust me it will be worth a visit to the store during those days. More information to come when the date gets a little closer.
This photo was taken a couple of years ago while Tom & Rose-Marie were away at a show in Calgary. Now there is another section of Rosewood stamps on the wall.

Another birthday card
This is the card Cassie made for Donna's birthday.
Cassie is also a fan of Penny Black and the "Wooly Dames" are so adorable. She coloured them with Copics and metallic Gelly Roll pens. The sentiment is a "Fractured Funny" from Hambo stamps. Cassie chose to use a pale yellow card for the base and popped the colour image onto it.
This shows the stamp that goes with the cover sentiment. Hambo Stamps have some really witty sayings.

Happy Birthday Donna
Yesterday was Donna's birthday. :D (We had birthday donuts!) I made her this card to commerate the special day.
I have been a big fan of Penny Black for a long time. The cuddling ducks image is new stamp from their Slap Stick line. The cushion mounting on these stamps is so....."cushy". I stamped in Memories Black (I waasn't thrilled with Memories and Copics and will try Memento for the next Copic colouring) and coloured with Copics. I still have a lot to learn about Copics but I really like how they look. I used 3 colours on this stamp BG10, Y08 and E31, quick and easy. The sentiment on the front and top inside is one of Hambo's "Fractured Funny". The "Happy Birthday" is MFT.
Tomorrow I will share Cassie's card.

ScrapFest Kitchener over for another year
/
Tom & Donna returned from ScrapFest on Sunday. They were tired but satisfied with their weekend in Kitchener. It was Donna's first big show and she had a ball. I am sure she did her part to help stimulate the economy.
Everything went so smoothly for them while they were away and it was exciting for them to see the support the paper crafting industry continues to receive. Tom & Donna both learned so much while they were at the show.
Due to Rose-Marie's recently illness, she decided it would be best for her to stay in Campbellford. A BIG thank you to Laurilee for agreeing to be our guest demonstrator for the weekend. We know it was difficult to step into such large shoes but with her incredible skills it was almost seamless. Laurilee may never fully understand how much donating her expertise it meant to us all.
Thank you.

ScrapFest 2010
We really enjoy this event. The organizers do a really great job of working with both the retailers and the visiting public. If you are going to be in the Kitchener area over the weekend, stop by and say hello, Tom, Donna & Lauralee are manning the booth during the show.

New Stuff
I created this card for a Yahoo group challenge and was having difficulty deciding what embossing folders to use on the rectangle and square elements. The decision was made today when the new products we ordered came in. We had placed an order to replenish our Spellbinders and added a few embossing folders from a company Crafts-Too. We weren't sure how good their products would be, so we only ordered a few. Wow, are we wishing we had ordered. The folders emboss beautifully and they are so cute. The butterfly is from Prima.
Suffice it to say, we will be ordering more.

Spring 2010 Rosewood Stamps
The new issue of Rosewood stamps are now available, view them on our website Frog's Whiskers Ink. Currently all of the designs are available in cling mount and we will have wood mounts next week.
Rose-Marie has created a new series of stamps called Pop-cuts. These very large stamps (6" square)are sold as a kit with a plastic template and instructions to make a dimensional card that when completed will fit in an A2 envelope. Stamp, colour, score and cut to create these beautiful cards.

Spring Weather
It has been more spring like here the last few days. Temperatures have been near normal and thankfully we have been getting some of those April showers that bring May flowers. In my inbox this morning, I received this photo from a friend who's job involves travelling to the New Liskeard area occasionally.
Apparently the near north was a bit wintery this morning. I am so thankful that I live a bit more "southerly". That is the kind of weather that I don't want to think about again for at least 8 months.

Stampers Camp - Update
After talking to a number of potential campers we have decided on a slight change for the upcoming stamp camp. We have decided to make the booking of accomodations up to the individual campers. We will assist if required and we do have a block of rooms held at the River's Edge Inn for campers to book on a first come, first serve basis.
The cost for the weekend will be a flat non-refundable fee of $100, which will include 3 classes, lunch and supper. Visit Frog's Whiskers Ink for further details. We have set a cut off date of April 30, 2010 for registration.

Happy Holiday
I know I shouldn't be posting a Christmas card on this beautiful Easter weekend. I came across this card a couple of days ago and it is so cute, I thought I would share it. Cassie made these for her friends this past Christmas and had this one left to give a gift to her Dad & I. The tree is Inkadinadoo stamped in Memories and pearls added randomly. The hedgies are of course Penny Black as well as the sentiment. She watercoloured the hedgies and added gems to the holly branch. The seniment was distressed and popped. (Sorry another lousy scan!)
Happy Easter everyone
